the wildcats will be a struggle as will the hogs. we will have to fight for 7. vandy is the only team that looks like a sure thing.

Shirley you cant be serious

If you are basing this on the UF game, anyway. That shitshow of 3 and outs is 3-3 at the half with both offenses playing like complete garbage. Easily the two worst offenses in the SEC.

Hogs gonna have a hard time running

On us I think and they don't throw it too well. Kentucky is much improved but I'm not sure how good Florida is offensively.

UK isn't terrible like they were the last two years, but Florida is not good at all. I've never been sold on Driskel as a good QB.

Florida's problem is the head coach. He's a nut job, and in over his head. Saw enough of his antics when he was here.

it will certainly be interesting. arky leads the nation in rushing (per gameday this morning) so they will certainly challenge the defense, and if anyone can do it, its the team that leads the nation in rushing. we have shut down USM, UAB, and USA, but arkansas might be a different story. we might know more by the time we get them in starkville.

Arkansas had over 400 yards rushing

Today. Granted, it was Texas Tech but they have the best running game we will face all year. If we hold them under 200 yards, we should win. At home, we should handle them.

This could be the game that trips us up, on the road. I see our game with them being a high scoring shootout.

Yep. That QB is going to abuse our safeties. Towles in Lexington is going to be tough.

I just think Florida is not very good. They could be looking for a new coach at the end of the season.

We didn't blow them out last year when we played at home. 28-22. There was never a reason to consider KY an automatic win.

Seems it is always a tough game for us. I think it's because KY vews us as a win just like we do them.

You people are acting like he said "We can no longer possibly even dream of beating Kentucky."

What he really said is it is no longer an Automatic Win. I figured most people around here would feel the same way.

Good news for us is that Stoops will likely get plucked from UK by a bigger program and they'll go right back to terrible, just like Vandy.

It's still a basketball school.

Florida's coach does suck. But they also lack talent on the offensive side of the ball. Their OL is average, their receivers are bad, and Driscoll is way overrated. I do like the 2 RBs though.

Kentucky can beat our ***. We will have to play lights out to win up there. They have a very good coach. Arkansas will be an even bigger challenge, their rushing attack could beat several teams in the west right now. They're becoming more balanced and might beat A&M next weekend.

I suspect a real coach could make something of Driscoll, Jones and Robinson. They still managed 460 yards before overtime last night. I wonder if Muschamp is an offensive meddler (like Chizik), or totally hands off the part he doesn't understand (like Petrino).

Beat our ***? Based on last night? You must be crazy.

Here are some of Kentucky's stats from last night:

24/45 passing
3 interceptions
2.5 yards per rush (81 attempts)

Both regulation TD passes were a result of Florida playing like retards (leaving a guy 15 yards open in the red zone on one, tackling like blind old maids on another).

I don't see how I'm alone on this, but last night's game against Florida made me more confident about beating Kentucky, not less.

What I saw last night was 2 pretty bad teams playing football. Probably not quite as bad as they were last year, but probably neither one going to a bowl game either.

Nope, Mullen doesn't lose to Kentucky just like we don't beat LSU. It's just in the stars.

Agree ...

Arkansas did a good job exploiting the fact that Texas Tech has NO run defense. They averaged giving up ~300 ypg during their losing streak last year and no difference this year.

The hogs only passed 12 times and completed 6 yet held the ball for ~41 minutes to Tx Tech's ~19 min of the game. When Tech got the ball again in the second half ... it was already in the forth quarter.

Stop the run and you can stop the hogs.

^^THIS^^^ UF and UK are BAD football teams. Just because they gave each other a game doesn't mean they are going to play well against teams that don't suck. I watched the first quarter and thought what the rest of you did... "uh oh". Then, I watched the rest of the game and realized that those 2 teams are absolute, complete garbage coached by 2 coaches that are a hot mess. Neither of them have any control over themselves and that, to me, is a big reason that they will never be successful.

Kentucky's QB is pretty solid, which gives them a chance.

I don't know much else about them, though I do think it's at least clear they aren't going 0-8 this year. Vandy guarantees that, but I like their chances to get at least one other SEC win. Where will it come? I don't know, but I could see them getting at least one more.

C'mon man..Kentucky and Vandy aren't even in the same league this year. Vandy ain't winning any conference games and may not win another game period, even though they have 2 high school teams left on the sched. Kentucky is vastly improved since Joker, and they have some talent, believe it or not.

yeah, cause florida's secondary "playing like retards" doesnt remind me of our secondary at all.

arkansas and kentucky are vastly improved and are serious threats and we could easily lose those games if we dont play well. am i predicting a loss? absolutely not.

last year, kentucky lost by 17 at home to florida. last year, kentucky was very close to beating us in starkville. this year, kentucky took florida to overtime. this year, we play in lexington.

those are facts. if we are taking uk lightly, it is a huge mistake. hopefully, our team isnt taking the game as lightly as our fans. uk is clearly a better team this year and they have some explosive players. they are 22nd in passing yards per game....that in itself should warrant some concern given the performance of our team against the 94th, 36th, and 79th ranked passing offenses where we gave up 212, 435, and 288 respectively.

kentucky was much worse last year and almost beat us in starkville. that alone should warrant respect.

Not taking UK lightly (like we did last yr) but watching that game Saturday, anyone that knows football knows those are 2 bad teams. That is not up for debate. I will be surprised with either wins 6 games.

Here is UF's schedule. at bama, at UT, LSU at home, Mizzou at home, UGA, at Vandy, USC at home, East Kent, and FSU. That is 2 wins. Vandy and East Kent. Maybe they will beat UT. They will not win another game. They are REALLY bad.

So, UK still not being able to beat a BAD UF does not mean that we are suddenly going to lose to them. We don't need to take them nearly as lightly as we did last year. But, that in no way means that they are now better than us. We played like garbage last year. Anyone that knows our team knows what a funk we played in from the 2nd quarter of LSU until aTm.
