I have no credible "multiple sources" but I tend to agree that while the Nebraska has the stigma of being a better job than MSU to us old timers, it really isn't anymore. The SEC's dominance on the national level, while driving non-SEC schools and fans mad, has collectively raised all SEC jobs to a higher level. Couple that with the facilities that Dan has upgraded while here, the fan support and moderate expectations, and the apparent institutional freedom to change things with the AD and I think MSU is a very attractive job. Then you have the fertile recruiting ground and a reasonably high salary to add to that. All this to say that I think the MSU job right now is >> Nebraska and even >> Florida since Florida's facilities have declined, they payed Muschamp less than Mullen, and you'd have to deal with Foley.
