Why do people watch award shows?
Why is that chick on the left wearing a tux instead of a dress?
Let me rephrase. Why do people care who won the awards?to see who won the awards

I have a ****** life and I don't care. Oh well, to each their own I guess.Escapism. People have always cared about what the rich and famous are doing because it distracts them from their ****** lives.
Is gervais a celebrity?I can never keep up with whether we're listening to celebrity opinions or not.
When its not virtue-signaling groupthink and not ungodly hypocritical.I can never keep up with whether we're listening to celebrity opinions or not.
I guess it's like a "in the land of the blind, a one-eyed man is king " kinda thing. Are people not aware that Gervais is just as liberal as the crowd? Seems weird that he’s become a conservative hero overnight for saying one rational thing.
Hilarious. [laughing]
No, it won’t change anything. But who cares. Awards shows are stupid anyway.
The only thing that will change is that I doubt they use a (funny) comedian to host again any time soon.

Because these days, aside from a few in the intellectual dark web, we never hear anything rational from liberals. I wish he would visit every college campus and give the faculty and students the same treatment. Are people not aware that Gervais is just as liberal as the crowd? That. Was. Awesome. The facial expressions on the attendees after some of those one-liners hit too close to home - priceless.
I was thinking the same thing. Notice he didn’t chide the gallery for their leftist politics. Are people not aware that Gervais is just as liberal as the crowd? Seems weird that he’s become a conservative hero overnight for saying one rational thing.

Some of that ish was funny as hell, and I am certainly not out on the right wing. One thing is for sure, it will be the last time he is asked to emcee the Golden Globes. [roll]
OT, really want to see 1917 that won the best picture in a bit of an upset. Anyone else seen it yet?

I hate to break it to you, but the world is going to end in 12 years.I hate to be this guy, but I haven’t heard anything rational from liberals or conservatives in at least a decade. Liberals rely on emotional appeals and warm fuzzies. Conservatives rely on fear and anger.
Gervais is right here. He’d also be right at a values voter summit filled with televangelists and politicians.
Celebrities and politicians just like to hear their heads rattle and pander to those who they feel will support their careers or campaigns.
