Has anyone heard anything on these 3 lately? I know Lindsey is supposed to announce later this month and is considered a huge ohio st lean. What about the other two? I know lewis was just here, and hopefully gebbia and Keyshawn jr are working over holmes. Just wondering if anybody had heard anything.

Holmes- mentioned above is a UCLA lean. I also think his parents are pushing for him to stay in state.

Lindsey- you might as well cross him off the recruiting board, if you haven't already.

Lewis- not sure.. I have heard that we have a shot and also that we realistically don't. I don't think yesterday's news helped...

Really? KJJ is a Riley guy, right? McQuitty, maybe?

we are in a situation where either

a. recruits won't know who their position coach will be going forward or
b. their position coach (if KW is retained) is a ?able role model - will be a difficult recruiting pitch to parents

neither is a good situation going forward

I agree, however, that of the 2 Key is likely more solid
going to be hard to get further high level WR recruits at this point

The info you guys have on Holmes might not be current. He visited Michigan last week for The BBQ at The Big House. It is an all day event in which Michigan brought in five 5*s and double digit 4*s. The kids spend the day with the coaches and fellow recruits in a variety of activities and Holmes's mom apparently stayed after to bond with our "team mom" (yeah, might sound weird but we have one of those).

Word is he was blown away and some think Michigan leads now (including some of the west coast guys). My take is that when the euphoria of the visit wears off things will swing back towards UCLA but Michigan did put itself in position to steal him if his official blows him away as well.

Holmes is always very complimentary on wherever he visits. He said the same stuff on OSU.

That may be, but I still think he is a UCLA lean. Especially if that is where his parents lean.
I'm not going to pretend I know more than what I read (I.e. I don't have some super insider info) but both his parents came with him on the visit and there are west coast guys saying what I did (not a case of a Michigan homer mod blowing smoke)...and of course what they are reporting is from within the last 8 days...so you can take it however you want...just telling you what is being said (well not all of it as a lot of it is premium info)

no one does less with more talent, then UCLA.

Georgia is up there as well.

I think DH is probably UCLA bound, but I would've said Standford bound 6 months ago. So things change.

Lindsey is probably OSU bound, but he and Dub have a solid relationship.

Lewis' interest is real. He brought his coaches and has an official visit scheduled. The interest is very real.

Calvin's the one that people forget, but this kid is a top 250 player nationally. NU still very much in the mix.

I think we get none of the three. I hope I'm wrong, but that's just the feeling I get.

Here's the deal though. What if instead we picked up a couple more four stars at other key positions or picked up an in-state kid who four years later is all-conference and a captain? I think Keyshawn Jr. is a future NFL player and McQuitty is a great prospect as well. What if they got Babb out of St. Louis next year?

Those three have star power, but with the way this staff has recruited, it's not totally unrealistic to say that we could come out just as well going a different direction.

Looks like Lindsey is transferring back to Gorman to play with Tate Martell. Not sure if that means anything. Had transferred from there to Centennial but is going back.

If he's transferring back to play with Martell I think that pretty much closes the case on him. He's ohio st bound

Why did Lindsey leave Gorman to begin with? Hasn't Martell always been there?

I think we wrap Lewis up, which appears to be the case post-incident from Clouse. Lindsey gone. Calvin I think is 50-50.

Not worried about slots, we have those kind of guys all the time. Love to have Calvin. I think we could swoop in with 4* Daron Davis if Calvin bolts to ND.

We'll see if Martell ultimately ends up at OSU. As for ND and Calvin, he seems like a great fit, but ND already has their slot receiver in the class. They want to round out WR recruiting with Tarik Black and Hezekiah Jones. So there's some dominos that need to fall before Calvin is in

Thank you for the info. All 3 schools (Nebraska, OSU and ND) seem to be in great position for WR's this year. Lots of top talent.

I feel good about landing Lewis, Calvin and Holmes

Holmes gives glowing reviews after every visit, and his leader list has apparently evolved over the last few months from Nebraska/Stanford to UCLA/Michigan. He's tough to read.

Lewis shopping is not the first I have heard of this. TL is OSU. Holmes I think is UCLA.
