TV station here today reported it again, from a "reputable" source. Although the anchor said, "perhaps the source isn't so reputable anymore".

On the other hand, why would Memphis hire a 70-year old former coach who hasn't really had any great results in over a decade? My guess is Memphis's next coach is not named Holtz.

I assume he is talking about Skip, but I guarantee they could get Lou if they took donations from football fans across this country. I would be willing to easily kick in $50 to get that rambling jackass off of my TV, and I would be willing to up that if I thought the possibility was serious. Fans paying to get Lou off the TV would dwarf whatever Memphis would be willing to pay him.

RC Johnson (Memphis' AD) is just stupid enough to try this. I can assure you of this - whoever they hire, it will be an epic fail. Johnson is like a suckier version of Templeton.

I don't believe it either, but I'm telling you, these guys are clueless.

That would be so far beyond dumb that I wouldn't be surprised to see it out of RC.

Don't shoot the messenger. And if you lived here, you would know that it is not beyond the dumbassedness of RC Johnson to actually think that would be a good idea.
