The yard markers and hash marks were cleared @ kick off and were covered back up in under 2 minutes of play.

HOLY 17ing ****! How the 17 are they playing this game? how are fans watching...

...watching this game in the stands. How are they not running for a warm place in this cluster 17 of a game? How are they not freezing their nads off? I have so many questions, how are those numbers on the field the only thing that is clear of snow?

on the 12 yard line with david akers on the sideline and they go for the 4th and 2. this is one of those games that they used to punt on 1st down back in the day. if this keeps up, the ball is going to start getting buried in the snow.

That snow is like 4-6 inches deep. This could lead to some interesting questions - "is his knee down" or " is a pass incomplete if the ball just touches the snow"?

And all three fantasy teams are led by Megatron ...

And Reggie Bush is also on my most important team. I don't see them scoring much...

I like ice how the punts take one bounce then just bury. Lions went for two as they didn't think they could kick an extra point....

Would making a snow angel in the end zone after a TD get an excessive celebration penalty? I hope to find out if anybody actually scores again. Then end zone snow in in excellent condition for an angel.

They are shoveling the lines on the field every five minutes or so...

so every ten yards there's a trench. And they just keep getting deeper. People aren't going to be able to run much longer.

New York averages 8" for all of February. It's snowed that much during this game.

It's supposed to be nasty weather in professional football in the playoffs.

For this game, the numbers on the field for yard markers are just a graphical overlay like yellow first down lines.

and we've got snow angel. No flag thrown

but I think since he was knocked to the ground by a teammate (kind of...) the going to the ground thing was irrelevant.

There are playoff games in Denver, Philly, Boston, New York, Seattle, Pittsburgh

Chicago, Green Bay, and you have to be able to play in ****** weather. And I like it.

Agree. This is the way football is supposed to be played late in the season and in the postseason. Out in the cold and the elements. See who the real men are. Still miss the old Vikings playing on the Frozen Tundra.

Agree. I have no problem with the Super Bowl being in New York. Like 11 million people still live there in winter and most of them don't have cars. These professional athletes can manage it for four hours. I enjoy watching the snow games, from the comfort of my living room of course.

This has been the most entertaining game of the year

8" deep now, but they can throw and catch now. And it's tied.

Yeah. I'm really looking forward to the Super Bowl in New York. The greatest game in the world in the greatest city in the world. It's gonna be great.

The only downside is you can't tell if the Christmas Trees on the sideline are fake or real.
