Ck out this post :
OK -- this is probably way premature, but think about the possibility and benefits of Croom coming to Auburn.
First, Croom does things the right way -- hard nosed, discliplined, academics, etc. Fact is, he's a throwback -- one of Bear's boys if you will -- like Dye. And even though his record is not all that great at MSU, let's face it, it's Stark Vegas. Still, his teams play hard and he has won SEC Coach of the Year honors.

Second, as an African American coach at a program like Auburn with top notch facilities, he would stop Evil Nick's perceived advantage in recruiting dead in it's tracks. Heck, he's even gotten some surprising recruits at Miss St.

Third, Croom still has a chip on his shoulder about being slighted at Bama. Is it any wonder why his team's are so competitive when they play them (and us for that matter). Not to mention, can you imagine how much this would get under Bammer's skin.

Four, the national spotlight would suddenly be on Auburn in a way never seen before. Thus, we would get that little added advantage in the polls -- the lack of which cost us a National Championship -- seriously!!!!

Alright, that's enough for starters. But in my humble opinion, I seriously believe Croom would be highly successful at AU and build a dynasty -- really! He would dominate the SEC in recruiting -- and ultimately, it's all about having the best players in today's world. Thus, great talent would overcome his often conservative approach to the game.
