My wife just asked how well off we would have been if we would have gained those last four inches against LSU.
Here's what would be different:
We'd be 5-4, needing just one win to become bowl eligible
We'd be 3-2 in the conference, the third best conference record in the SEC
We'd be cheering for LSU this weekend and we could control our own destiny in the West.
We are friggin 4 inches away from controlling our own destiny with one Alabama slipup.
Instead,
We are 4-5, we have an uphill climb having to win 2 of the final 3, but no doubt we can do it.
We are 2-3 in the conference, the 7th best record in the conference, but only a half game from the fourth best.
I'd prefer Alabama go ahead and wrap up the West so we can take their national title hopes and stomp on them. I hope we make little Bama kids cry and ask their sidewalk alumni daddies "Why Daddy. Why"
