No ****. Totally ridiculous. Plus he lightly touched the rim when doing it. Damn engineering walk-ons.....
OF COURSE Kentucky gets to shoot free throws before the game starts because of this. It's impressive to see the zebras going full (apparently censored combination of referee and Kentucky) before the game even starts.

I've known that's been a rule forever, but have NEVER seen it called. And I've seen dunking in EVERY pre-game warm-up that I've seen at the college level.
In an 8-9 game? Surely you can't be serious.
If they were a 1 seed playing a woefully outmatched opponent, maybe, but not in any other case.

A little rule history: back in the olden days, the rim was usually attached directly to a glass backboard. The result: renardo Sidney type players hanging on the rim could shatter the backboard. It was started as a preventive measure to avoid needlessly shattering the backboard.
Now, modern goals are attached to the main goal support and not the glass.
It's an outdated rule. I'd never call it on a team nor would I expect it to be called.
