I admit that I've enjoyed the series. However, everybody I've seen on there goes to their actual hometown until Jerry Rice (he went to San Fran). I realize he's picked up his life and is a Californian now, but it seemed like the whole hour was a Mississippi bashing session.

So, does anybody know why Jerry Rice hates Mississippi so much?

but I wondered why it wasn't somewhere here. Does Crawford even have a high school? I know his ex-wife was from Greenville.

They (Noxubee County) have very nice facilities there... I mean, Josh Hamilton had his in his old high school gym, so it doesn't have to be some swanky location... I just felt like he explained every bad memory he had in Mississippi and left out all the good

He went to some hole in the wall school in rural Lowdes County that I don't think even exists any more.

Edit: The school he went to was Moor and it was in Crawford.

old Hwy 25 about 3 miles from Starkville. And if you ever seen the Shack he grew up in near Crawford....(It's still standing, weeds growing out the windows off a dirt lane.) you would understand why he never comes back.

Not sure why you brought up a twin brother that is deaf. Joe is older than Jerry and works for Artie Cosby and lives on Poor House Road. I can assure you Joe is not deaf oh and by the way, I do know sign language, can you understand what I'm telling you?

From his autobiography

I was the sixth of eight kids born to Joe and Eddie B. Rice, two native Mississippians. There were my older siblings, Eddie Dean, Joe, Tom, Jimmy, and James, and my younger ones, Loistine and Zebedee.
Unless he's including his twin as either an older or younger sibling (which I guess would be technically true by several minutes), Jerry Rice doesn't have a twin.

you should start your own blog especially with the accurate information you provide.

Joe says he does not know why he did not come back to the area for Homecoming. He said he would ask at some point. sorry I have no real news to provide but it appears 99jc may provide some insight.
