Is there any precedent for a coach being fired after the first two years of a contract without a losing record? I understand the context of our situation and am just as disappointed as most moderate state fans - not happy but also not suicidal. And this is a serious question, has it ever happened in the history of the sport for team performance based reasons?

It would be quite a move for Cohen to fire Moorhead after two seasons, two Egg Bowl wins and two bowl games.

No. It has never happened in the history of college football.***

We were just hoping to be Trend setters.***

And we are not suicidal over a stupid sport. We are just delusional fans for thinking we should best teams we have more talent than, and play within 10 points of a few teams who are marginally better, and 15 points of teams that are considerably more talented than us. How dare us expect such unachievable goals.***
