Some of you people are an embarrassment to Mississippi State. I truly wish that you were closet Mississippi fans, but sadly that is not the case. I'm saddened and confused that so many of you have made horrible career choices since you obviously posses more football knowledge than people who have devoted their lives to the process. Yes, you know why what happened and what should have happened. Yes, you are the expert that works 40 hours a week doing what you do so well, yet you have the time and expertise to analyze and critique from the stands EXACTLY why the coach is an idiot. Mullen needs your number desperately, call him, email him, knock on his door, let him know that you have the answers. My guess is that many of you are still enduring the pains of puberty.

After having seen the likes of Shira, Felker, and Crooms, Dan Mullen is a severe upgrade.

It's people like you that makes coaches look to retirement with a smile.

I agree that

there's no shortage of morons on here, but at the same time, it cannot be denied that the offensive staff has greatly underachieved. I don't have to be bobby flay (sp??) to tell you a steak sucks.

The story of the season is missed opportunities and special teams play. Even in our win today, those themes are there. Proud of our guys for the win, but a lot to clean up.

I actually think it's being the highest paid employee of the State that makes Dan Mullen look to retirement with a smile. But it could be people like the ones you described

The only thing I will challenge is how is it possible that our coaching staff hasn't given JRob more touches.

Heck, nobody is happy

We have a lot of work to do.

We had two 2rd DBack's to replace, and almost an entire receiver corp. to replace.

And then, we have had QB issues, and then QB learning issues.

I don't know of many programs that have not had to reload, and then work some more.

It's people like you that keep teams like this wallowing in mediocrity

And by the way I have devoted my entire life to my calling as well. People that work under me don't go on message boards and question my ability to do my job because I'm good at what I do

So you're telling me that neither you nor I can question anything about the mediocre product we've put on the field this year? We can't voice our concerns, second-guess, or believe that there might be some better methods than what we're doing right now? And don't compare Mullen to our previous coaches, compare him to his current peers. That's the only fair measuring stick if you really want us to compete.

Give me the URL to your message board and I will explain why you suck at your job. I'm as qualified to judge you as you are to judge Mullen.

Actually what I am suggesting is that there are waaaaaaaaaay too many "experts" who couldn't find their *** with both hands.

After we beat Mississippi, we will have gone to four consecutive bowl games.

Mississippi State has never, ever been in that territory since the invention of dirt.

Yeah, lets fire that SOB......

It's people like you that don't understand that the entire point of a sports message board is to discuss and critique sports. Yes, people are going to be wrong and ill informed as compared to the coaches. Yes, people will go overboard often because they are passionate about the teams they support. Yes, it is possible even with limited information and extreme reactions to see that a coach needs to hire a Special Teams coach and to work harder on a red zone offense.

It amazes me every single damn time that someone comes to a place for discussion of sports and expects people to have zero critical comments because those people are not the coaches.

I am going to type this next sentence in all caps because I am yelling at you so that it will get through your thick skull. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT NO ONE ON A SPORTS MESSAGE BOARD IS A TRUE EXPERT WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

The boards are fun except when you take it so seriously.

Nobody here believes they are an expert. Let it go man. You're getting way too worked up.

Everyone is entitled to ***** and complain. It happens every year. I know you've watched the games this year, so don't tell me you don't see all the dumb **** we do sometimes. I'm not saying fire the guy. I hope we win every game but there are things that happen in the course of the game that I don't understand, so I'll complain and question those things as long as they happen.

No offense... but I am almost certain people question your ability... or at least question your decisions, no matter what it is you do. They may not go on message boards to do it, but that in a world full of people with strong opinions on everything (and some very well educated in a particular subject matter... or at least believe they are), I would bet the house people under you question you. I know people who work under and around me question me and my decisions... same as the way I question my boss, even though I really enjoy working under him and believe he is quite competent and very dedicated at what he does. It comes with the territory in any industry or profession.

I just would hope my subordinates and coworkers bring their questions to me and not run their mouth under the table... I'm being completely serious.

You're every restaurant's favorite customer. They can serve you whatever **** on a plate they want, and you won't complain.

No, I just forgot how to reply. My reply was meant for the original post. I'll just blame it on first post since the new format and do 20 reps in the post testing forum. My apologies.

You don't have a clue.

I can, and have, bitched with the best of them.

Just have grown weary of these morons that look to fire the coach at every turn.

Can we do better than Mullen? Probably/possibly...

Should we roll the dice at this point in time? hell no.

In 365 days? depends on the performance of the team as much as the record.

Almost forgot to ask tampons or pads?

None taken.

My decisions have been, and continue to be, questioned ad naseum. That comes with the territory, just can't tolerate idiots like I once could....

1. Are we reading the same message board? We have some folks on here that helped James Naismith invent football....

2. I concur. In through the nose, out through the mouth....

3. We major in stupid **** sometimes, it is what we do.

So tell me, Gene...what does it say about you to continue reading these puberty ridden dipshits every word, and to let it get to you to the point where you are led to post this awful thread?

Message boards are for sports discussion. Some positive, some negative. Take your "Call Mullen" ******** and shove it.

I get what you're saying but you're taking it to the extreme. There are times that things are said on here that are a little silly as far as critiquing or over analyzing but there's also been plenty of head scratching WTF moments from this coaching staff that deserve discussion. My suggestion for you is to either relax or just don't read it if it bothers you that much.

It tells me that I've failed to appreciate the wisdom of Richard Nixon.... "Don't get the impression that you arouse my anger. You see, one can only be angry with those he respects."

So we are great pally boy.....

In retrospect, I probably did get out in the yard with the kids.

I have scratched my head on many occasions, sometimes on play selection/strategy and sometimes on player personnel. There are occasions that I scream at the television thing, yet I am not ready to ax Mullen. Not yet. Maybe Friday morning, but not yet....

I probably do need to relax a bit and not take these bozos so seriously, that or take up drinking heavily....
