The system has changed radically in the last few years, I'm not sure UK has the resources nor the environment to compete at the absolute upper elite level, given today's climate. I believe Pope is awesome, his energy, passion and care for his players are second to none, I'm just not sure in this construct can the program compete to where it needs to be. Today it's all about maximum exposure, media, and the biggest one, money, just not overly confident UK is in the top 10 when it comes to these type of resources, I'm going to say, we're not, IMO.

We beat the National Champs. Went to the Sweet 16 without our best player. Multiple wins over the top 15 teams battling critical injuries. Lost our best player. Limited depth and still moved forward.

Got a great coach and good group next year.

I’d say we are trending to the top again.

I like my team.

I honestly try not to put the author of every stupid post I read on this board on ignore to try to prevent logging on to an echo chamber every day but I can’t do it anymore, anyone know if there’s a limit on the amount of posters you can put on there?

This. This right here. Either it is in great shape or there's a massive conspriacy.

Hell, what am I saying. This is America these days. EVERYTHING one doesn't agree with is a lie and a massive conspiracy.

List them. Right now. List them or honestly, shut up and take off.

List them. With proof.

Not a loser, just a realist, there are at least 20 programs, better resourced than UK and that's probably being overly generous, probably 30+.
Prove it.
There wasn't 20- 30 programs seeded ahead of us in the NCAA tournament or that many that finished better than UK.
Should be preseason top 10 with ease next year.
You've been brainwashed by believing every portal player that doesn't pick UK is being paid better that UK can afford.
False narrative.
100 reasons kids go where they go.
Always has been

They are not moving like we got the resources. But hey, that might be methodical. Time will tell.

It's not just about the money, it's also the environment, Lexington doesn't compete with a lot of these collegiate atmospheres, nor does the environment at Rupp, it's better than it has been, though compared to many other programs, falls short.

Honestly, I think we’re in great shape. We’re a storied program with a large and loyal fan base; we’ve got a brilliant, young, energetic coach who studies the game and appears to be beloved by his players; we’ve got good-to-great facilities and at least a good NIL budget. If I lived in Lexington, I wouldn’t throw out my old couches.

Kentucky has a different magic. In other ways. But that remains to be seen. In the new age.

So you feel like you're dialed in with players mindsets?

And this program has me. Someone who pumps the breaks. And someone who is in full support. If these recruits had a chance to meet me. Then all this nli crap wouldn't matter.

I've been saying this for awhile. If you're a basketball player in Lexington, what are you doing for entertainment away from the court? Visiting the airport? Kentucky Horse Park? Going to Winchester to see the Ale-8 factory? Hanging out at a defunct Fayette Mall?
