All I know is that it's the same franchise that gave up Magic Johnson for Pistol Pete and never did anything with 2 players who are universally considered the best at their position in a billion year period.
I would call the Jazz a ****** franchise personally, the kind that usually ruins peoples' careers, and I guess if I were to put it to you in college football terms they're the Cincinatti Bearcats.

Okay. Can we end this **** now. Rodney Hood made a good decision. He was never a Mississippi State fan, much like many of you are not "fans" of the company you work for. It was a business decision and it worked out for him, much to the chagrined of many on this board.
I don't follow. He traded a year of eligibility to get a Duke degree. He would have went at this spot or higher had he stayed (Moultrie went 27).
The Jazz didn't miss the playoffs from 1983 from 2004
Without doing huge amounts of research, I'm not sure a streak like that is rivaled in any professional sport.

I cant remember the last time I heard the Jazz referred to as a ****** franchise. Look at the last 30 years- their record, their playoff history, etc. ******?

How was Hood not a MSU fan? Didn't his parents go to school at State?

He graduated in 3 years? Pretty solid.
I don't know whether he made a good decision or not, I just know it probably didn't matter. He was polished enough as a true freshman that it's clear he was going to work on and improve his game wherever he was. He basically traded a year of NBA money for the experience of being at Duke for two years. If you were going to look solely at money, he probably would have done the best simply by leaving MSU after his freshman year. Not sure how high he would have been drafted, but I'm pretty sure he would have stuck in the league. Even if he was a 2nd round pick, he woudl have had two years of second round money and then still gotten something equal or better to what his rookie contract will be this year.
