MSU coach Rick Stansbury told the Clarion-Ledger this morning that freshman guard Rodney Hood is “very doubtful” for the Bulldogs’ trip to Alabama on Saturda.

“There have been some challenges with us with consistency but we’ve been
right there,” Stansbury said. “It’s not like we’re 12-18, you know what
I mean? We still have 19 wins. It’s not like we’re a bad basketball
team. … There are some things you wish had gone a little differently for
you, but that’s the way it is. You have to adjust. With all of the
adjustments, we’re still a good basketball team.”

“Believe me, no one loses games on purpose,” Stansbury said. “No one is
more frustrated than we are as players and coaches. That’s part of it.
We all want to win every game. That’s the thing. Everybody wants to win
every game. I wish we could but, unfortunately, it doesn’t always work
that way.”

But you should have our team ready to play every game, so we will win the games against teams like UGA at home, and at LSU and Auburn... That's your Job and you are paid to do it....

"With all of the adjustments, we’re still a good basketball team collection of basketball players.”

No way in hell a good "team" would lose all three of those games in a row.

as a cover for losing games on purpose. Kind of like how he just says players have injuries when they are really suspended and such. Don't feel bad. You're probably still right.

I'm sorry Rick, but you're flat out wrong. No one SHOULD be as frustrated as players and coaches, but clearly this is not the case. If you and your team were as frustrated as you say, LSU and Auburn would simply not have happened following the loss to Georgia. You would have sacked up, shown some intense effort, and gotten the job done on both occasions. You did not get beaten by talent by either of those teams. You got out hustled and the teams that wanted it more won. It's as simple as that. If you are so damn frustrated, then show us all by making some changes. Trust me, that's exactly what our fans are planning on doing.
