its been the trend for a while with this staff that we have difficulty closing the deal on guys if it comes down to the very end. Not really so much with Hooks since we were a late comer to the party on that one anyway but you can definitely apply that to JUCO guys like Z. Smith and Rumph. That's why I'm not going overboard on Brewster just yet. Its great that he's getting us looks from some higher rated guys but as Ricky Bobby might would say, in recruiting if you ain't first you're last.
yea we've got some candidates but now that Boyd is gone we do not have one proven DT on the roster. There's certainly potential in PJ Jones, Curtis Virges, Quay Evans, Kaleb Eulls (assuming he moves inside), and Nick James but NONE of those guys have really proven anything in the SEC. On the bright side I guess, spots are getting less tight all the time.
