Yes, they are. With the kind of attention he was getting, I wonder if this guy is a three-star HS junior who might very well end up as a four-star HS senior. That's the feeling I get reading about him.
Of course, now that he has committed with the Gamecocks, we know that likely won't happen!
Having a 7 footer is nice
However I’d rather have a C who is built, has movement and can jump.
We have all seen far too many times stickmen get shutdown by power and movement.
Gray had the height and was built big last year. Yet he had no quick movement of his feet and he couldn’t jump.
Put those three qualities together you can dominate another players height.
Why stop at 7'? Might as well see if we can get us a 7'4" Zach Edey type lol.
In all honesty, I'm fine with any lengthy athletic rim protecter even if under 7'. There's been plenty of great ones.
