Here is your 2009 SEC Baseball Tournament, starting on Wednesday:

BRACKET ONE

Game 1 - 10:00 a.m. CSS
(2) Florida vs. (7) Arkansas

Game 2 - 1:30 p.m. CSS
(3) Ole Miss vs. (6) Georgia

BRACKET TWO

Game 3 - 5:00 p.m. CSS
(1) LSU vs. (8) Vanderbilt

Game 4 - 8:30 p.m. CSS
(4) Alabama vs. (5) South Carolina

***
Remember, the two driver's seat teams (those that win their first two games) switch brackets after winning their 2nd game. This was implemented, I believe, to avoid playing the same team three times. Regardless, it makes the tournament a little more interesting, in addition to making things more complicated.

There's only one seed-changing possibility that has a chance of happening, and that's if Kentucky wins and Vanderbilt loses. If that's the case, Kentucky would be the (8) and Vanderbilt would not make the tourney.

Thoughts?

Edited to add: Kentucky lost to Florida, so the bracket is set.

Technically, if you guys could pull off a 12 run 9th inning rally, LSU and Ole Miss could switch too. You are right though, other than the possibility of Vandy and UK switching, that's a pretty definite bracket.

But we will be in it next year and by 2011 we'll be a major player.

Just figured there wasn't a lot to talk about concerning Mississippi State considering our dreadful season is over. That is, unless you would like to debate which games our four wins will come from this fall, or who our starting five will be come November. Both of those are nice discussions, but both are a long ways off.
