but he does make a good point. I wonder if the state has ever considered moving them to another district or level because they are so much better than their competition? It's interesting because people will say "it's just kids playing football... why run the score up," but he is doing what he is doing because of the kids. The state should really consider moving them to a different level where they can compete instead of just running over everyone because ultimately, I think it does just as much long-term harm to them as it does the teams they blow out. Also, as a fan, I'd get pretty tired of seeing 52-6 scores at the half, too.

The video said that the coach followed the "unwritten rules" the first 4 years he was there. He pulled his starters after halftime in blowout games then. His team entered the playoffs #1 but never won it all. He figured his team wasn't conditioned for 4 quarters. So he changed his approach this season. The result: they won the 2A Division 2 state championship. The final score in the championship game was 36-35. I'd say they needed to be conditioned for that. It seems his strategy may have worked.

It was pretty hilarious. He basically said if a coach is going to complain about getting the score run up on them that that coach should issue a league wide memo before the season (or particular game) that lays out the guidelines of what he considered unsportsmanlike. Leach went on to throw out some examples like, if you're winning by x amount in the 3rd quarter I would kindly ask you to stop running plays.

He pretty much called coaches that complained about it a bunch of pussies.

I don't like "sticking one in late" when you can run out the clock.<div>

Sounded like Dixie. One can only imagine the sh*t storm that would rise if that were in Mississippi.

his talent runs out and he loses every game by about 90 points. Yes I agree this isn't logical and would be tough on his players but it's the way I feel.
