He won't answer that because they bashed Stans even when he won.Why is not OK for him to do exactly what Coach did for 9 years?

gosh damn you people suck
I was here *** hole through all of it so quit lying to protect what you wanted. You got change, now live with it . You and coach were the ringleaders in berating Stans for a decade so quit lying!
Let's get one thing straight. I criticized Stansbury's coaching - specifically his substitution patterns, his half court offense, his stall offense, his scheduling, his team's lack of consistency in effort, and his lack of discipline. Sometimes win or lose. That's no different than any other coach gets. Did people say Mullen coached great games in the Troy win this year? The South Alabama win? But even with all of that with Stansbury, I never said we should fire him. Am I sad he's gone? No, not in the least. Also, when he coached well, I gave him credit for that too. Sometimes I thought he did a good job and we still lost. Those are some of the games that stick with me more for some reason.
If Rick Ray proves to be as inept in some areas like Rick Stansbury did, I will be just as honest in my assessment of him. But at this point it is foolish to try and assess what type of coach he really is. Whether it Stansbury's fault or not, our roster is a shambles. The injuries certainly are not Stansbury's fault, but they are not Ray's either. The rest of it....well I guess that's a matter of opinion. In the end it doesn't matter. You play with what you got.
I am a fan of Mississippi State first and foremost. My loyalty is not to who is on the bench. It's to the university. Your gloating about the season tells me all I need to know about your loyalty. I hope you are so mad about the situation that you never come back. We're better off without you.
I hate playing devil's advocate, but isn't the fact we won as many games under Stansbury as we did without any real NBA talent a plus for him?
This team is pathetic
Don't try that **** on me Dawg. I have been an MSU fan a hell of a lot longer than most of you and have supported the University from day one.
But I also criticized MSU for having incompetent leadership when LT was here and also when we are stupid enough to force the best basketball coach MSU has ever had out.
You s.o.b's criticized Stans from day one and you and coach gloated when he resigned.
Now, Rick Ray has a chance to use the best facilities we have ever had and do better. I gave im a pass this year but so far I haven't seen much to make me think we made the right decision.
Maybe you like watching us get our asses handed to us by 30 or more at home but to try and say we would have been this bad had we waited one more year is showing your and your Junior High coach's bias.
Call me gloating if you want to, but it is more of simply showing how damn dumb both you and coach are and regardless of how many you try and convince, history is going to show we screwed up big time, just like we did we we let Babe go.
With ode to Tosh...it's time for this week's breakdown.
I'm only been a part of this MSU thing for about 25 years or so. I wasn't born into a State family or anything. I chose it. And I don't think that makes me any more or less a fan than anyone else who loves State. Why do people use their longevity as a way to show their superiority?
You mean Babe Mccarthy?
Gloated? Why would I gloat? I had nothing to do with it. I was certainly happy though. That might not even be the right word. Relieved is maybe more accurate. Relieved that it was over.
I am appreciative of what Stans did to help us get the practice facility. But we could be practicing in the Staples Center with this roster and it wouldn't matter. That's so gracious of you to give Ray a pass considering what he inherited plus the injuries. There's now way you could have seen much given all of that. I don't know why you would have expected to.
No one likes watching their team get pounded night after night. I don't play the "how we would have been" game, but if Stans had stayed I suspect we would have been in a similar situation next year. The reason we are there now is the inertia was too strong.
And now your true colors show. You are pissed because Stans got shown the door and giddy with excitement that our abysmal year might make your boy seem better in hindsight. Got news for you old man. That's not happening. Ray could go 0-30 the next two years and people would not want Stansbury back nor would it mean that getting rid of him was the wrong decision. The judgment now is on Ray and Ray alone. The Stansbury book is OVER.
I am familiar with looking like an idiot. Visited there more than a few times. But if Ray fails, there is no way I look like an idiot. You are having trouble understanding that the FIRING and HIRING were separate processes. Getting rid of Stansbury WAS THE RIGHT MOVE. Only the most obstinate of people would argue that. It was either get rid of him in March 2012 or March 2013, and the decision was made to rip the bandaid off in 2012 and start rebuilding. That whole process was ONE DECISION.
and am learning his style on the fly like everyone else. Ray could go 30-0 and that wouldn't make me look like a genius. You know why? Because it has nothing to do with Stansbury getting fired.
