National seed is dead. Oregon swept Ohio State on the road. I think that, combined with us losing 2 of 3 and Indiana dropping a game to Northwestern gives them the eighth national seed.
National Seeds:
1. North Carolina
2. Vandy
3. LSU
4. Virginia
5. Oregon State
6. Florida State
7. Cal State Fullerton
8. Oregon
Other Locks to Host
North Carolina State
Indiana
Louisville
Probable Hosts
Arizona State
UCLA
On the Right Side of the Bubble
Clemson (at Florida State next week. Win 2 and they host, win 1 and South Alabama may sneak in)
Arkansas (at Auburn next week. Lose 2 and USA hosts)
South Carolina/Mississippi State series winner
On the Bubble
South Carolina/Mississippi State series loser
South Alabama (on the verge of sweeping Top 30 ULL. Has Top 40 Troy next week at home+ their AD is on the committee)
Clemson and Arkansas (and possibly us) must take care of business next week. They are dying to give South Alabama a host. It will come at the expense of Clemson, Arkansas or Mississippi State. It will be harder for them to give it to them over us if we win series against USC, because of our head to head over them. Arkansas slips up against a bubble Auburn and they could lose their host, especially if USC wins the series against us. If FSU were to sweep Clemson, that would do it as well.
