Miss. State is the only team in the country with 40 wins, a top 10 RPI, and a top 5 SOS. Not even North Carolina, Vandy, or LSU can say they have all of those things. That's very telling of the balance in State's resume.

State has also played the most teams in the RPI top 50 in America and have a 19-14 record against those teams. Our worst loss was to RPI 81 Central Arkansas.

That's a pretty damn solid hosting resume and any idiot Arkansas fan on twitter saying they should host over us has lost their 17'n mind.

Arkansas has only won 35 games against number 70 SOS... Yes, their SOS is ranked 70th and they only won 35 games compared to our 40 wins against the 5th toughest schedule!! They also have a 48 RPI, which is absolutely unheard of for an SEC team with hosting aspirations. Arkansas has a .500 record against the top 50 RPI and is below .500 against the top 100. They also played ten games against RPI 200+ teams and lost two of them. How in the 17 is this team even in consideration? Honestly?

Sure, they've won two more games than State in conference, but they're conference schedule was much easier. Arkansas missed Vanderbilt (the best regular season in SEC history), Florida, and Mizzou while State missed Tennessee, Mizzou, and Georgia. Both teams missed Mizzou, so take them out and you've got Arkansas with Vandy and Florida, and State missing Tenn. and UGA. If you traded those two teams out to the other school, that's AT LEAST a three game swing. State would probably have about 19 SEC wins and Arkansas would have 15-16.

It's absurd to try and objectively compare SEC records when the SEC schedules are subjective and change so dramatically from team to team. Surely the committee will see this and award the more deserving team.

ETA: I'd love to see a blind, side-by-side comparison between Arkansas and State.

I did a comparison because I was bored... Anyone who picks Team A needs to have themselves checked out. (A is obviously Arky and B is State)

I find the last part of each resume particularly interesting, especially considering how Arkansas keeps harping about their conference performance. We even finished a game ahead of them based off of common opponents. Someone who actually has twitter needs to share that with Rogers, Fitt, etc. and make that known to everyone who is following the hosting debate. That just goes to show the advantage for Arkansas by missing Vandy.

That is an EXCELLENT comparison. Based on that data, Arky hosting anything other than a Deliverance reunion is absolutely laughable. That is like comparing vehicles that you would like to take a cross country trip in with 2 kids and a mother-in-law. A Ford Fusion or a charter jet.

Well, hopefully there aren't any Clark Griswalds on the selection committee.
