i checked it pretty consistently, and willingham was number 2 or number 1 for the last month or so, maybe longer. i'm guessing they moved him to 50 after he got fired.
It's almost like a Twilight zone episode or something. MSU fans constantly have every national news outlet out there shove the opinion that Croom is a good coach down our throats while there is nothing to prove that at all. It's ESPN, out of state newspaper writeups, any any all announcers of MSU games on national TV (don't understand their love affair with him), sports talk shows (unless they are local or called Finebaum). Everyone paints this rosy picture and praises him for doing lousy work. and then when the discussion comes up about Fulmer who has has more success and just whooped their saint of a coach, they are practically writing his obituary. I still stand back and just say WTF. I mean does anyone in the media actually pay attention to results anymore? And just look at some of the records of coaches that are safe for now on that website and look at croom's. Not that it has a bearing on anything... but just adds to the WTF factor.
I would almost wager money that if you combined all teams offenses over the last 5 years we would be #119. If we aren't 119, Croom should send Norwood a thank you letter.

so I'm well aware that people aren't particularly happy with Tommy West right now, but I swear to god... If the the freaking University of Memphis fires a lifetime .500 coach before we get rid of our own sack of ****, I'm going to be severely pissed.
