Hotel question...

don't wait a week before the season starts to try and find hotels.
Your best bet is to call the week of the game and hope you time it right where someone cancels. Or just call everyday up to the day you need the hotel.

Why so harsh, DS? He could have just been given tickets by an uncle or friend. Maybe there was an office raffle or he's some sort of contest winner and he was just made aware that he could go. Maybe his significant other has been hounding his *** about how despite his enthusiasm for this year's team he will continue staying home during football season...and maybe he finally grew a pair and became his own man. Well, I can't argue with you there...however, I did not know for sure which games we would need rooms for until recently. I can get by without a room for Auburn....Georgia is a must.
At times before we have just stayed at the Dew Drop Inn....aka the University Inn....all I get is the disconnected number there.

Well, it really just boiled down to figuring out who was going with me to what games (be it the wife or one of our kids, etc)....and based on that, seeing if we wanted to make the 2.5 hour drive back to a relatives house after the game or not. Had to get the kids sports schedule nailed down for the fall before we could figure out who was going when.
i.e. the Days Inn, columbus Inns of the world. I've had better luck there before closer to the season.
