Long time reader, but I have obviously never posted before.

I wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions. We made a last minute decision to head down for SBW, but I am having no luck finding any hotels. Any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks!

They were at the America's Best Value, which is ******, but it's a hotel and you don't have to drive to West Point or Colombus. (662) 323-6161 and it was like $100 a night or something pretty cheap like that.

And for the record, I cancelled them because I got a room at the Hampton, not because I'm not coming. It's gonna be awesome.</p>

i'm surprised they have a website. The Regal Inn. I also like how they use MSU images on their website - hmmm...

which campus building has rooms for rent? that may be an option - i don't know.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys...I am checking them out. The travel sites are coming up with hotels but when you click on them, they are actually booked up in most instances.

I am on the waiting list for the on-campus dorm as well.

I will see what we can figure out....

i mean, you have to be pretty desperate (or cheap) to stay there, at least as i remember it.

you may want to actually call a couple of places. couldn't hurt to talk to someone there.

Oh yeah, I know about the Regal. Just trying to figure something out. We have a newborn and it was sort a late decision to go ahead and try and go.

Haha....we are troopers. This is our 4th....the newborn is the easiest at this juncture. If it rains, I can take the older kids out while mom stays with the newborn....

making fun of someone for going to SBW. This reminds me of when young alumni come back to starkville and campus and people say "what are you doing here?"

and you need to check a weather map.

so tell about the time you took a newborn (i am thinking less than 2months here) somewhere it was predicting rain overnight!

what is 20%, 30%.. hey it rains or it don't... i think the junction sees rain on fri sat or sunday... therefore it is 100% chance of rain at SBW
if itsn't my job to predict the weather, but i think it rains this weekend
