I haven’t heard or seen much chatter on the board about Coach Rhule’s show. What do you think about it?

I like it. I think he represents himself and the university well. He has some pretty good guests on and talks about some interesting topics aside from football. I also think it’s a good recruiting tool, especially in this day and age. Showing off the facilities and some behind the scenes stuff is nice to see. His cohost “Cuz” has good energy and good vibes, although it feels just the slightest bit cheesy (and I truly mean only the slightest). He’s a good hype-man.

What I like the most is that he does the show every week regardless of whether they win or lose. Chasing 3 was only released when they won. House Rhules is released no matter the outcome of the game, and he talks about the losses. I think that’s pretty cool and transparent.

I know people sometimes regard him as being or being like a salesman. I can see that and mostly agree. I also think he’s pretty genuine, and if it’s Nebraska he’s selling then keep it going Coach!

Your thoughts?

I like it. Anything that promotes Nebraska football and makes the program better I'm in favor of it. I still can't believe some don't cate for it.

It makes him relatable to parents and players. Brings in players and former players. Absolutely huge for recruiting. Now we have to get Rhule to be as good at game management as he is with PR

Not possible cause he can't bullsh*t his way out of making critical game decisions.

I’d rather have Rhule doing a podcast to bring attention and interest to our program rather than him bitching about us being a flyover state, complaining that all the good recruits are far away, etc.

He’s thinking outside the box about how to attract talent to Nebraska. I like it so far. Same goes for his TV spots with McAfee.

As far as taking his attention away from the team, we did hire Holgorson, Snow and Ekler in the offseason who have likely taken a lot of work off Matt’s plate for Offense, Defense and Special Teams respectively. I think Matt has the time to do these things based on the investments we have made in our coaching staff

Rhule will engage in the stuff that other coaches really hate. He has a couple of gym rats in Holgerson and Butler. I can't imagine either one of them wanting to do this kind of stuff. And Ekeler is completely dialed into the team. If the squad can finish the season strong, I'd say Rhule, with the roster, facilities and a better NIL bank, should be out selling the program to recruits and interested kids from the portal.

Completely agree. It’s a good use of his time imo

Have they had recruits on his podcast?

I feel like that would be smart, get them out, chat with them, help them get more followers on their social media stuff.

I think he also said it’s an opportunity to pay players as guests and help them get NIL.
