Just not this year? Surely he should be relieved that the NCAA isn't stopping him from carrying out the UM Athletic Mission of "helping people." He just has to wait a year. Fantastic. Go help someone else and you can help Masoli next year.

Nutt should be thrilled if this is really about helping Masoli.

If you really think about it, their time together will be3 times as long b/c Masoli will only be there 1 semester through December if allowed to play this year. Now he will be there 3 semesters if he elects to stay. Nutt gets to triple theamount of time he gets to help mold thisyoung man.

I couldn't have said it any better. I don't give a damn if they got screwed or not, I'm enjoying the view.

Patrick asked him twice if he was being singled out and Nutt replied twice I will let you know after Friday. Nutt is going to look like a buffoon with his reaction you can just tell he is holding his tongue right now. The funnies part was when he said that his 3rd string guy is a walk on that weighs 175lbs.

even if they hold up their decision I hope they make them wait the first half of the season...what makes them think this appeal is gonna go so fast?

the longer they wait and keep one foot in one foot out the bigger the train wreck becomes

I think if State had been filing the appeals, we would have found out the answers long before.

...interesting how these "father figure" coaches love some of their sons more than others.

I get the feeling, as game day approaches, daddy Nutt is longing for the redemptive embrace of his prodigal son, Lil' Jerry Masoli.

Here is a coach who has never suspended a player at Arkansas or Ole Miss for getting into trouble and now he is going to do this simply to help a kid. What a crock! The kid can stay and go to class for a year and then prove evrybody wrong if he does that. He may have to, you know damn good and well the bagmen want their money back and Nutt is under pressure. If this wasn't a clear case of rent a qb for a semester then what is? The NCAA got it right for once and while I still don't like them, I think they got it right for once.

You should have been with me laughing at him uncontrollably yesterday when he sat in my office trying to convince himself that Stanley looked really good in the spring game and everything will be fine. It was pure schadenfreude, on par with the egg bowl pick six.

Of course they were suspended for their second I-AA game that was midseason for a preseason infraction.

Who was it from NAFOOM who came here to tell us that Witt Haggard was NOT the 3rd string QB???

/Even though he is a rebel,im VERY proud of the boy
