(a break from debating J$ v. Super D and the crap-tastic baseball)

You know, the players that aren't winning any awards or being on any all-something team. But still, without them, you're team may suffer a bit.

Russell Walters - surrounded by talent, yet did what he had to do
Branden Vincent - 1-3-1, 'nuff said (and is now a grad assistant at UM)
Winsome Frazier - if Coach K singles out your defense ... (damn injury)
Shane Power - some Bama fans still cuss his name

Hopefully Randy turns into Barry and becomes next season's player for this list.

AA - Bullard is excluded for obvious reasons

How can anybody leave out Marcus Bullard?

If Marcus Bullard hadn't been such a thug, he'd have easily been in the second tier. Without him, we don't beat Kentucky at Rupp in 1995. People don't realize that, as much as he was known for tough physical play, he's the second leading 3-point % shooter in MSU history (ahead of third place Darryl Wilson).

Why?

Well, maybe just one Bama fan I know. I guess it was the hard foul in that game in Coleman. I don't know. Guess I should've stuck with a hair reference.

AA - how could I forget Brian Price's hops

I dont know many walkons prior to the mid ninties, but maybe some of you can help me out. As for now here is my all-time starting walk-ons (some of whom earned scholarships after at least one year of being a walk-on):

pg - Billy Begley (sentimental reasons, not talent)
sg - Dennis Buse
sf - Michael Boler
pf - Whit Hughes ( not a true pf, but it's not a dream team without him)
c - ?? any ideas ??
