I think he’s currently dealing with some legal issues stemming from an accusation of assaulting one of his former students. Wouldn’t shock me if they were true since we know he assaulted another student 30 years ago after he was upset in the All-Valley Tournament. His “teachings” were questionable at best. That’s a lot of baggage for someone who comes from an entirely different sport…not to mention that has zero ties to the Southeast. But we could certainly do worse.
