How bad does Duke feel now?

If their fans feel any worse than I did after Kentucky’s undefeated team lost to Wisconsin in the 2015 Final Four they will have to go pretty low. I went straight to bed, turned off the tv, the lights, covered up and stayed in bed and in the room for two days with only an occasional bathroom break. A few times I peeked through the blinds to see what the weather was like. And consumed 2 bottles of Maalox.

I didn't watch any sports until the championship game two days later, which I was going to skip but decided I wanted to see Wisconsin lose.

Florida would have RUN Duke through. They do everything Duke does but better. Houston isn't going to get blown out by anyone, but Duke would have tried to run with Florida, and frankly, I don't think anyone can actually do that. Florida would have won by double digits.

Florida would have trailed at half, WCJ hits a three in Proctor’s face and Florida wins by 2.

Actually, Pooper Flagg would have turned the ball over driving into the land with Florida up 1 and 5 seconds left in the game!

(Lots of scenarios could have played out based on the season. I like yours too!)

in hindsight, florida would have had something for duke.

Agree. I know we beat Florida and duke early, but both teams improved dramatically during the year. Florida found gold when they started playing condon and haugh extended minutes together and their role players vastly improved. Wcj gets the pub but condon and haugh drive that team. They can do everything.

Florida played probably its worst game of the season while Houston played one of its best. They were just an exceptional team by end of year.

Florida would've been no cake walk for Duke. Gators are too well coached and very talented.

I wasn't suggesting Duke was thinking the title game would have been a guarantee. Just that Duke was watching the title game thinking "where was this Houston team when we were playing them?"

If I were a Duke fan I would HOPE my team was thinking, "Why didn't we defend better and hit some shots in the final 10 minutes, etc" One play in each game says a lot about the 2 games. In the Duke game, Flagg awkwardly jumps past the 3 point shooter who waits for him to pass by to nail a key 3 late in the game to cut the lead to 3. In the Florida game, the Gator player jumps up in front of the 3 point shooter causing him to commit a turnover as the final seconds tick off the clock.

Plays like those are the difference between winning and losing.

I had the same mentality ... unfortunately, I was at that game, so I had to get in my car and drive home to Tennessee.
