How cool is it...

I know the discussion about the shuttle pass is Germans, but how cool is it that we have a coach who can invent a play like that? At first I was like, oh man he's got two options he better not get confused! But then I was like that's a really good play. I think it's so awesome to have an inventive coach at the helm. The only thing Crxxm could have invented was a new way to lose a ballgame lol!

If so, you might want to wear a sweater to cheer-leading practice today. It's a bit cold.

I recall Chis Leake struggling to run that play on his last trip to Starkville. He had an inside and outside option, opted for the inside option (shovel pass), and Titus Brown (or maybe it was Willie Evans?) swatted it down, nearly intercepting it.

I don't recall seeing anybody run the shuttle pass as part of an option play until after Urban Meyer (and Dan Mullen) got to Florida. You sure Zook was running option with Leake, and running an inside shuttle pass option as part of the package? I could have sworn Meyer and Mullen actually changed Florida's offense when they got there and didn't just run the same thing Zook had been running.

That's why I credit Mullen with inventing it.

At least I never saw anyone else do it before. Could be wrong about that though.

I distinctly remember it because I thought it was a cool play. First time I had seen it.

.....although....I believe UF ran it to the outside. The "inside" RB is running off tackle, the QB farther around the end, and the outside RB was running way outside.

Don't think UF ran the inside guy straight up the gut like we did. So ours may be a minor variation.
