Recruited by one of the founders. Like a 5 star. ..............................................................

The e-mail said: "Your a Baller!" in hurriedly thrown together MSPaint.

The rest is history.

I was scanning a certain other message board about 10 years ago and someone (can't remember who) was bashing this site and talking about how it wouldn't last. I checked it out and haven't been to that other site since.

Stumbled across it one Saturday afternoon while surfing and drinking. Made a

big mistake of posting and got destroyed. You later followed up with several more nasty
emails encouraging me to read more and post less. I developed an internet identity complex but
was able to drink my way through it with counseling from my wife.

We now call ourselves friends and the rest if history. The Sixpack is my life*, according to my counselor.

Got a PM at Gene's that said something to the effect of "Hey, you should check out this new message board. I think you would fit in better over there." For the life of me, I can't remember who it was. If you forced me to choose someone, I would say NewYorkOperaDog, but that may just be my mind playing tricks on me. I do know this. I can take credit for Brutius being here. You're welcome.

I'm prolly in the majority of posters here. I knew the board was here

long before I ever posted but I got tired of being banned on those other sites so I came over here and never looked back. Then, I get banned over here but it's all good. This is the preeminent MSU sports board for good, unadultered MSU sports smack and bear bashing. Some of the funniest **** I've ever read, I read here. You won't find threads about uni tits and one legged girls anywhere but here. I'm not a dual poster like a lot of folks are. I stick to one venue and this is it.

I found you guys on GP, it's unbelievable how many folks talk bad about this board but yet they read it.

DS, you've got everything, Comedy Central Experts, Sport Experts, Swamp People Experts, Travel Experts, Annoying Experts, Hunting Experts, Coaching Experts and every reality show expert ever made. Now if you can only step up and get your own reality show!

It was late summer 2006.....

My memory is fuzzy so don't hold me to exact dates....I am guessing here....

I was over at a buddy's house. We were having a little get together celebrating the....well just celebrating life I reckon. Well one of the guys was on his laptop and told us to come over and check out some funny **** he was reading on this site called sixpackspeak.

Me and a couple of guys go over and we are entertained by a hilarious thread making fun of this punk *** that just one weekend earlier had got into it with one of my buddy's who was at this get together.

My buddy had gotten thrown out of Ricks while this punk got to stay in. I guess the punk had street cred or something. It was funny watching my buddy gleam with vengeance at the sight of his nemesis getting ripped apart on this forum.

The nemesis of course being Derek Dunn.

I didn't join right away. I spent several years just going to the site and reading. The fark section is what got me to join around 2009.

Can't remember who told me about it...

But I think I first logged on during the Croom to Mullen transition.

I first started posting during Mullen's first fall.

I posted on Gene's Page toward the end of the Polk II era something like, someone wake me when this crazy SOB is gone. One of the many sheep who replied to my post, who i had obviously hurt his and their collective feelings, said I belonged on that Six Pack board with all the other negative pricks. Didn't know what the Six Pack was but found it and have been here every since.

Kept hearing my friends talk about the pack, sixpack, etc. I was reluctant, but I finally visited. Still peruse Genespage occasionally, but not nearly as much as I did up to 2007/2008.

I know one thing that has changed as far as my posting - I try not to rip on players individually as much. I've either gotten older or softer or both.

Earlier in my posting career, I would continuously rip. I'm all for saying a player didn't play well but I am much less vengeful in my presentation.

Spring of 2004

As a State fan, it was the best of times. It was the worst of times. I had recently met the guy that was causing all kinds of ruckus on genespage. He went by jsireland, and we now worked in the same building. We began to share many laughs and frustrations about being a State fan at the time. It wasn't long after that he was banned. Only a couple days later, I was banned. Being the mild-mannered, level-headed poster that I was at the time, this action really confused me. So, I sent Gene an email requesting an explanation of my bannation. The next day, he called me at work, apologizing for his mistake.

"I'm sorry. I noticed you had a similar IP address as <redcated> (jsireland) and I thought he was just posting under a different ID. He's a real pain in the ***...yeah...he's a real pain in the ***."

With no desire to go back to genespage, anyway, I now needed an alternative. Jsireland told me of a magical place called Sixpack where people were free to speak their minds (mostly). I threw my hat into the ring, and, before I knew it, I was rubbing elbows with the founders at the sixpack table during the Croom alumni banquet in Vicksburg.

Gene's Page. I read for a while but the 2007 Super Regional with Clemson was the point at which I joined and started posting.

I was banging this chick in Key West. On her lower back she had a tramp stamp for Sixpackspeak.com. I asked her where the hell she got it and what it was. She said she did not know what it was, but she woke up with it after going on a boat bender with some guy who liked MSU, fishing, and taking photos of hot chicks. I figured what the hell, might as well check it out!

That's how it would have gone if I had swag, but instead I just migrated over from Gene's.

There I wuz, standing on the ex's front porch, spincter clamped shut prairie dogging. ***** wouldn't let me use the crapper, like her crap doesn't stink too..... No, wait that wasn't me! I was walking from the tailgate to DWS one day taking to somebody when he told me some insignificant piece of knowledge, when I asked were he heard it he told me he read it on the six pack. I asked where he bought his beer! That was sometime in the Croom dynasty, been drinking here every since.

Got an e-mail with a link....I'm one of the early members. I'm a made man. I made my bones while most of you were shitting your diapers and whacking off to cheerleaders. I consider myself the Seventh Sixpacker, the same way several folks brag about being "The Fifth Beatle". I read more, post less now, but back in the day I was bringing it.

It was the spring of either 2004 or 2005 at Ole Miss. I was in a feature writing class taught by former Auburn player-turned reporter-turned novelist Ace Atkins (here's his cover for SI). I was talking to a friend, and fellow State fan, about spring practice, and he asked if I visited SixPackSpeak. I remember asking "What's a Six Pack Speak?" I had no clue what he was talking about. At the end of class, I even had him write down the URL in case I misunderstood.

Since then, I've wasted countless hours figuring out 19.83%, getting pissed at yuku magicians and refreshing a million times to get updates on Gene and Robert Elliot. For that, I say thanks.

I honestly have no idea...

So I was either real messed up, or I'm allocating the appropriate amount of brain space to remembering how I signed up for a message board.

It's a shame, because I really wanted that gift card so I could get a football jersey to wear to the games. Or maybe start an extensive car decal collection that would rival Jeff.

Friends migrated here from Gene's Page. They suggested I read and I liked the humor and sarcasm, but also the real information.

Pretty certain it was 2005, a Reb buddy asked me if I was reading 6P, we pulled it up.
Been reading since.

I still don't know why the Former Dead Prime Minister can't be mentioned, it was a rule before I started reading.

I found out about this site back when I was working at a hospital. It was early one morning and I was working at the maternity wing. I thought I was a knowledgeable State fan and decided to strike up a conversation with another state fan who was there for the birth of his child. I thought he would agree with me about the terrible leadership decisions being made at the time to fire coach Croom and Larry Templeton. This guy decides to lay into me and says he doesn't have time to talk to, and I quote, "stupid f-ing people like me who think that firing Crooms was a bad decision." He wished me good day and as he was walking away another State fan came up to me, apologized, and handed me a card with just three words on it. Six. Pack. Speak. Puzzled, I googled the words and came upon this site. That second State fan coming up to me was the best thing that happened to me as a State fan. As for that first guy, who the hell knows what his problem is. I bet he wanted Stansbury gone too.

Megadawgmaniac mentioned this site to me some seven years ago after I'd expressed my disgust with intolerance for other opinions on Genespage.

My first post was a paean to LT, Polk, and other things deliberately worded in a way to attract a bit of attention and see what this site was like. I was bashed which was expected but not inordinately so and wasn't banned (and later Megadawgmaniac sent me an email saying that I didn't have to use that much dynamite to fish - old usenet rsfc speak - the board) so I figured, okay, I think I could like this place & do.

I found out about this board on Bulldogblitz in the fall of 03. I don't remember who was talking about. Became an avid reader until one drunken night at BWW in Olive Branch.

I remember we just had a big win in basketball over USC, but I don't remember registering here later that night. They were running specials on PBR so that's where the name came from. Would rather have my username I use elsewhere since I'm not a big PBR drinker but it is what it is.
