The news being a combination of the announcement of suspension plus his announcement that he's coming back.<div>
</div><div>This is not asking "Are you happy with how the situation was handled?" because no one here is happy with it except Coach34, and it's not asking if the punishment fits the crime (It doesn't).</div>

any resolution is good. I am happy that he is coming back, especially since we lose Varnado, and who knows if Bailey will ever come back, and I doubt that Riek will ever do a whole lot. I am not happy that exhibition games do not count towards his suspension. I'll be honest, I would have been a lot more accepting of a even a nine game suspension IF the exhibition games counted towards it.

Although I can't say Just My Honest Opinion, since that's a board rule violation.

But really. The NCAA Gestapo has already denied Sidney a full season, and now this...extending into the next season.

I don't want to invoke the black helicopter suggestion, butafter what they've done to us over the years, I think the NCAA doesn't really like us.
And I may suffer from the MSU paranoia syndrome.

Perhaps they are pissed at Jackie for his lawsuit, who knows.

This team just went from utter crap next year to a possible Top 25 caliber team if Sidney plays. With Barry and Jarvis leaving, I think that Bost is the only player on the team right now capable of consistently putting up solid numbers. So in other words, we have a team full of mediocre and inconsistent role players plus Bost coming back next season. However, you throw a player like Sidney in the mix, and I have no reason to believe that we can't at least be as good as this season. With both Kentucky and UT losing a hell of a lot, we should be right back in the thick of the SEC race.

you can expect some more early season head scratching losses. Hopefully the tournament committee will look at our body of work pre and post Sidney.

it'll be interesting what happens next year. bost is a good player. hopefully sidney is. i like johnson too, even though his defense sucks most of the time. kodi and turner need to play well for us to be successful. osby and lewis will have to develop in the off season. there are a lot of question marks right now. i'm sure ole miss will be preseason top 25 and picked to win the west, but auburn and lsu should be horrible. we'll have to hope for an even sec east and some wins against ole miss and arkansas.

the Sidney situation was handled?

It pisses me off as much as anybody. It's a travesty the way the NCAA has handled all this.

Plus, I wanted to see how Standsbury was going to screw up and not make a Sweet 16 this time with all the talent he had this season. Now all I get to see without Sidney is if he screws up even making the Tourney at all with the talent we have.

I lean towards indifference because I think this whole sorry thing was made worse by his attorney giving the family poor advice.

However, if someone, even that moron attorney figured out a way to publically behead the entire ruling body of the ncaa by some lawsuit that went public like OJ, I wouldnt care if every single facit of the constitution were violated to get there.

so the nine games is nothing to me. We have a bonafide NBA talent on our team, and it will pay dividends next year. And he'll be hungry to prove a point.

I am counting on the University to appeal and win the 1/3 of next season back. I don't know where an amateur athlete comes up with 12 thousand dollars. Although he does have NBA potential, that worries me for now.

I think he is awesome for hanging in there through all this ****. Hopefully, he will give us a season or two.

I am glad it is closer to resolved. But I'm pissed at the way they treat us. Going back to the football forfeits in the 70's, we've always gotten screwed by the NCAA. They can blank my effen blank.
