How do I turn off the music and ads when I come to this site?

My pop up blocker doesn't do it any more.

with ad block plus and flash block. I have never seen or heard a pop up ad on this site.

If I do then all i hear is the ads and I need my volume up sometimes.

Mute or cut off your sound control.
If you want to listen to something else, get out of 6Pack, and turn it back on.
Sucks, but it works.
