How Do The Logistics Work re: Housing

Admit I don't have a clue as to how this works. Where does Ash stay before he closes on a house? Hotel/motel or in university provided housing? Is there a Rutgers contingent that ferries his wife and family (if existent) around areas of Jersey?

I know when I was in Jersey and Graber was hired, there was a small group of us given the responsibility to show his wife Fay around Hunterdon County and Graber eventually picked a place in Union Township.
