How do y'all think Wesley Carroll would have fared in Mullen's offense?

I, for one, wish he hadn't transferred. I'm not sure how he would have done, but I liked Carroll and wish he would have stuck around. He showed the ability to run at times and seemed tough enough. Do you think he would have beaten out Tyson for the starting job this season?

He would be 4th on the depth chart because he had no ablity, it was only by the grace of God and Ellis Johnson that we went 8-5 in 07.

He was smarter than our head coach, so that's worth something. Carroll basically told Croom to run the plays that won the Liberty Bowl. For that, I wish he'd have stayed.

Wesley Carroll would have thrived in this system and would probably start. He did not have the strongest arm, but was an intelligent QB that would pose the run/pass threat that a true spread team needs. He, like many other of our players was very poorly coached and under utilized and if he had any coaching, we might have won 6 games last year. His departure was a loss to our program, but I understand why he left. I only wish that he would have waited until Mullen could have spoken to him before he transferred.

I, for one, think Tray Rutland would have been a $!$@@!' beast in Mullen's system.

My, what could have been....

...and won the starting job, that would have been an indicator of how bad we were at QB. Carroll can run the ball well enough, but he doesn't have the arm to be a QB in the SEC, period.

Lee is twice the QB than Carroll. We had another one whose name escapes me at the moment (he tore up his knee against South Carolina in 07) that transferred out of here. Now there is a kid I wish had stuck around.

very clearly (except for the opposing team apparently). It was a roll out pass, he planted his foot awkwardly, no one around him. I could have sworn it was at Auburn.

/Jesus, I'm to young to be forgetting stuff like that.

...about the play...I remember it too. I believe that was his first and only start, which is why I remember it being South Carolina. He probably would've started from the beginning of the year if he hadn't gotten that DUI and found himself in Croom's doghouse.
