How good is TAMU's noseguard?

I seem to recall the starter getting kicked off for aggravated burglary.

Not sure losing Day for this game hurts us too badly, and when he comes back he's gonna be PISSED!

If I were him I'd take it out on UM, AUB, BAMA, and all the other fans that created the social media shitstorm.

I'm betting his teammates use this as another chip on their collective shoulder as well.

Could end up being a big motivational boost.

They have a freshman DE that leads the SEC in sacks. I'm hoping that Ark power running game roughs them up some this weekend.

Hopefully our fans will stop ringing cowbells while we're on offense.

I don't think that (assuming this is what we do) shifting Beckwith to center and putting Clayborn at guard is a big drop off in talent and ability. What I am concerned about is that Beckwith or whoever will miss several calls at the line and we will end up with a few free rushers in the game taking big hits on Dak. To combat this, I think we need to do a lot more of two back sets or one back and a tight end in the backfield to have a designated full time protector for Dak.

Their defense has played pretty good

up till now. Especially considering past years performances.

Nose guard is Hardreck Walker, who is listed as a 6'2" 300 # Sophomore......... 2013 (FRESHMAN): Played in nine games as a true freshman, earning a start against Rice (Aug. 31) … had five total tackles on the year, including two solo stops – both against Sam Houston State (Sept. 7). He was a 3* from Texas and had offers from ARK and Auburn among others. No stats for this year.

Info per TAMU Website.

Thankfully we aren't playing an NFL DT next week. I think it's a non-issue, especially with 2 weeks to prepare.

If I'm the assistant coaches, I'm in every player's ear telling them "see, everyone is against you...even the SEC is trying to keep us down". Always good to have the mindset of the underdog in my opinion

Inside the locker room, Mullen needs to turn this into an "us against the world" type deal. He could use this ******** suspension to play that card. I like us playing as the underdog and with a chip on our shoulder.

I've seen other video boards that show "quiet, offense at work" or something similar when they have the ball. We need this badly because some of our fans are clueless about when to yell and ring their cowbell.

I wouldn't say it's going to be

a "non-issue." Their (aTm) DL and Defense in general has been pretty stout, so far.
