Does Keith Carter conduct a better search than John cohen? Say what you want, but he got it done and they have a reason to be excited. If ours keeps going down this path, we will feel the exact opposite? It’s amazing to me really.

Everything I said is true. And just cause I criticize the process and compare it to theirs does not make me a Shark.
What planet do you inhabit in which you feel that a 3 day old coaching search, with no word from Cohen, has been worse that what Ole Miss did? I would be embarrassed to have the football coaches that they now have if they were representing my university.
The Network: Keith call Kiffen and give him whatever he wants to be our coach
Keith: OK
People don’t realize how little OM has actually won over the last couple of generations. I think they have 2 regular season SEC titles in football, baseball, Men’s BB & WBB combined over the last 40 years.
I don’t think your average SEC fans realizes how hard it is to be an OM fan.

We are going to end up with a NFL special teams coach. Let that sink in. But hey, he’s and alum and has the backing to Jackie so we should be all in. It’s pathetic and typical.
You're right. You are pathetic and typical. And I actually think this search might even be a CF. But to compare it the dipshits up the road and that they "have reason to be excited"? You are full-on stupid. Or a rebel. Probably both.
I don't think anyone does. I think more so he's just pointing out the pit of misery that is being an ole miss fan and possibly the motivation for this troll job.
Only an idiot could be excited about Lane Kiffin. He's failed at every P5 job he's ever had.

In typical fashion, they win the beauty pageant because that’s their goal. It’s always their goal.
Meanwhile, we look for a football coach. Admittedly, we seem to be struggling through it, but are we? It’s been 3 days. At the end of the day, we don’t really care about the show.

I don't have to convince myself. I don't care if Kiffin is the next Vaught, I don't want him coaching my schools team.
***And by the next Vaught, I mean able to schedule such a soft schedule that anybody could win

Man y’all are sensitive. Someone comes on here with an opinion and y’all freak out. Guys, it’s okay to admit that this search is going end in a mediocre hire and that it has been a struggle.
We're not the ones that need convincing. The guy has a documented history. A trail of tears, if you will.
Enjoyku.
It's OK to admit that you are clueless. Really, it is. It's been such a 3-day struggle though...
Wait....have we hired somebody yet? Who gets excited over Lane Kiffin, too? I give Kiffin maybe a year before he knocks up a 17 year old coed and gets in a brawl at a frat house...and who knows what his batshit crazy assistants are gonna get into.

No matter what happens, none of us will have to hold our noses and root for a team coached by Lane Kiffin. It's thoughts like these that comfort me as I sweat through our coaching search.
Could there be anything more "Ole Miss" than a bunch of grown men hopping on the "Lane Train". That's almost as embarrassing as the bunch of coaches they brought in.
It's all good. Everyone assured me that we had a plan all along. We wouldn't just fire a coach without having a plan
Whoever gets our job is going to find their job a little easier knowing they are recruiting against a team that has DJ Durkin on its staff.
Facts aren't encouraged when weak-minded people are trying to start a "the sky is falling" thread.
Almost certain that they call him "Durk". I've never seen a group so quick to reduce their football man crush names to one cutesy syllable. That'll be done before the first chicken tender gets cold!
Exactly. This is Stans 2.0. Fire a coach with no plan. Find out the job is not as great or sought after as you thought (lack of quality interest). Have to settle. Judge=Ray.
