How is Bell's death not all over ESPN?

I haven't seen anything on the ticker, I dont see anything on the front page, and I dont see anything on the NCAAFB page either. It's not on Low's blog, and it didn't even make his SEC Lunch Time links. Even though the standard 'so and so was arrested'. We are a top 25 team after all.

That seems strange to me..

I agree, been watching ESPN for about last 45 mins, there has been nothing. Not in ticker, no mentions.

Let's not use this as an opportunity to play the disrespected card. It's tragic enough as it is, without questioning the coverage of major media outlets.

But I still find it very odd. A top 25 team member died, thats gotta make the news. It should at least be in the NCAAFB section.

I think that MSU didn't want an AP story to be done, because they didn't want the "he's gone" "he's still hanging in there" back and forth to go on in the media. Thats my only explanation I have for why it isn't on ESPN.

that this type of tragedy has not made ESPN. Not a single person has said anything about being disrespected.

Keep calling us rebels, using the wrong team logo on our articles, and same reason we wouldnt be ranked in top 5 of BCS if we were undefeated. We get no respect whatsoever and it's a tragic event. They blow things less tragic than this way out of proportion, but since it is lowly MS State nobody is taking notice. We can't even garner respect from the commissioner of our own conference.

We will pay tribute to him and make sure that all Bulldogs past, present, and future know who Nick Bell was and what he represented. Sad day for all of us and we can't go in search of pity. Hopefully this team will come together and put something special together and dedicate this season for Nick.

of recognition for MSU for events like this... but I have to admit that I'm fairly perturbed that a videographer passes away at Notre Dame over a week ago and he's still making headlines.... while Nick Bell has received a blurb from Low and that's it.

On another note, what a terrible, terrible day for the MSU family. I only hope his mother has the strength to carry on in a time like this.
