A lot of the sports bars have the ambience of a Turkish rug market....you can see the game, but you can't hear anything because everybody is talking (Buffalo Wild Wings?). How is the Alumni House for watching Thursday NCAA basketball? I'm thinking about heading out there when the place opens. If you're looking for me, I'll be the one wearing Maroon.

Which probably means that the side banquet room will be open to us. If so, there is never a problem hearing the sound in there. But even if you're sitting at the bar or a table, the sound is piped through their stereo system and it's usually pretty easy to hear it.

they have flat screens in each booth. i don't know if you can adjust the volume on the flat screens, but that would be your best bet.

i seem to remember that for the msu-west virginia football game a couple of years ago, they had the sound coming over the house speakers. i could be wrong, though. i will be at bw3's thursday, as some friends are camping out for the day and saving me a seat. i still don't understand why buffalo wild wings was always called "bw3's" in houston.

Now I just stay at my home, because I'm not pleasant to be around when we're playing.

Plus, at BWW, you can ask for an audio box and they will bring it to your table free of charge. You can change the channel to whatever screen you are watching and get the audio. The big screens are numbered.

that offers the "Sound Box" that you can get the sound of the broadcast by setting it to the channel of the TV you're watching.

The flat screens in each booth can have the volume adjusted so you should be good if you get there early enough.

We had to use it for Sunday. It was still hard to hear with it but it still helped out a lot.

the Alumni House is pretty nice. reclining chairs to watch the big screen. Of course, I went to lunch today and it was pretty quiet. I did talk to the manager, and he said the place was rocking sunday when State won the championship.

The Bulldog sounds like a good place, though.
