Sure, she's a nice looking woman. But, there's nothing sexed up about this. Must we ***** about everything? Chris Chase has too much time to think.

the author defending her and SI tries to rationalize that it is semi-provocative or the pose is a bit exaggerated but it doesn't look that way to me. if she was butt ugly this wouldn't have even come close to being "news."

Pretend I said "Seattle Times" and "womentalksports.com". That's what I get for jumping to the comments section.

it's really not provocative, but it is slightly suggestive, and every male that sees that magazine is going to have the same thoughts.

sex sells people, and don't think SI didn't let that fact slip by </p>

Men will interpret any image into something sexual. Most men would probably interpret a pic of a homely looking Amish woman churning butter into some sexual thought. If that pic is provocative, then we might as well call the entire sport of women's skiing provocative as well. If that's the case, I'm fine with that - at least it's consistent. But, for folks to ***** about a downhill skier (who happens to be attractive) imitating the same position they assume during the sport and wearing the same equipment (minus goggles/hat) is just dumb. The people that ***** about the the picture need focus their efforts on bitching about the sport itself if they don't want to be hypocritical.

It's not as if SI put her in a bikini in a Whistler hot tub.
Also, nice job by the writer busting the critics with the picture of A.J. Kitt on the 1992 cover.

She's obviously all tarted up, wearing all that makeup. And look how much skin she's showing! Inappropriate!
