Grayson is set to graduate this yearI wouldn't be totally shocked if he stayed four years nor would I be if Grayson came back neither.

Luke coming out probably hurts Grayson's stockGrayson is gone unless that toe does him in. Luke keeps playing like this I see him leaving, but if he cooks some I could see another year. He's a special player....
But singler didn't really get better after his sophomore year. Although he got a ship his jr year. So much money to go early if you've peaked. Luke can't play better than he is now.Luke is still on the 4 year track for now. Think Singler who could've left twice. Luke has a chance to have his jersey hung.

Did you not watch him his junior year?
I was just about to say. Let me ask a question before I make assumptions. Do you feel he didn't improve as a player, or do you just feel he didn't improve his draft stock? I'll agree with the latter. Certainly not the former.

Sorry yes draft stock. Obviously you're never a perfect player, but his stock peaked after sophomore year, Like Grayson last year and Luke this year.I was just about to say. Or the opposite where it's hard to sustain this play. Look at Grayson, despite his injury I guarantee his stock has dropped because he's not playing at last years level. Also, unless he puts up Pete Maravich numbers, I agree it'd be hard to see Luke playing "better", but sustained greatness gets you a second and third contract. Luke may not want to leave early in order to continue to hone his efficiency.

if that is the case God bless himWe're just going to have to see how the rest of this season plays out. If he continues his current pace, especially with everyone back, then he'll certainly have the opportunity to leave. I look at his situation a lot like I looked at Tyus'. If he plays well enough to leave then there's a good chance we're hanging another banner.
Agree, but roles can change. Like grayson for example, he had to be the MAN last year. No way with the talent this year he was going to be getting as many shots and points. The hope was he would be more efficient this year, and more of a creator. Hasn't been the case yet.True, but a lot of times, the leaving early/losing stock fine line applies to players who have great "potential" or those with the old "uncoachable" assets (height, strength, etc). Think about a player like Tyrus Thomas. IMO, Luke is in the category of a Kris Dunn or Marcus Smart or even JJ where the scouts in the league can say "this guy will be the same player comparatively for the next 2,3,4 years".
So sure, if he gets the yips and can't shoot anymore, he won't be playing for the Nuggets anytime soon, the chances of that happening with a coach and program like Duke however are low.
And I agree, Grayson's stock has to have dropped but a good conference season or tournament will push him right back up. And for whatever reason, if he chooses to stay, another dominant season and he's back up to low lottery status.
TrueWhen some people post, it makes it so clear how little they know lol.
Any who, I'd be a little surprised to have him all 4. But you know, I'm just some guy on a message board.
I am hoping like heck we have Luke for 4 years. I would be shocked if he wasn't back next year. I am pretty sure Grayson is gone after this year, I suspect he would go late first round no matter what he does the rest of this year. No reason why Grayson can't settle in on an NBA squad and be a solid team contributor.
I can't imagine the pressure on all of these young men in the upper tier of college basketball to make decisions that impact their careers. Most of us here on a message board have ideas and opinions. Imagine those closer to the players; family, friends, coaches, agents pounding them with guidance and advice.
