Chopped sweet pickles, little mayo, put back into egg white. Sprinkle with paprica if you like them fancy.

Oregon:
Do you not believe that their rise has something to do with their marketing? They have tons of money due to Mr. Nike, but the money has also been put to good use. The Oregon name has been publicized and advertised everywhere, and it has helped them. A significant amount of that pub is due to their TERRIBLE uniforms. But it has been good pub.

When you don't have money like Oregon, you have to get creative.

Creativity you ask?
inexpensive advertising like??? Billboards, working with adidas on new unis that we likely don't have to purchase. If we do, its probably at a discounted price. New and cutting edge uniforms bring attention (ask Maryland). You might think they are ugly and maybe I do too. Who cares? If they bring attention to MSU and its not negative in a way that is detrimental, then it is a good thing.

Years ago, Sports Illustrated or some such surveyed recruits about what influences their decision. Uniforms was in the top 5.

Now feel free to shut it.
"I've always said if Oregon would have offered me (a scholarship), it
would have been a tough thing to turn them down just for the uniforms,"
ASU defensive back Omar Bolden says. "And I hate cold weather."

as an example that flashy uniforms do not help recruiting is unfair, IMO. They've had two separate 2-win seasons in the past 3 years...and very unpopularly fired a long-time(successful) head coach(Friedgen went 75-50 there) due to sky high expectations(alot like someone else we know). Their program is in the absolute basement right now....

I think he was looking for one that said he actually DID choose a school because of uniforms and actually signed with them because of the uniforms.

but it can only help if a recruit is down to two schools, and he's just looking for anything to push one school ahead of another one.

is the bootleg series #9 better than #8? I've been debating it. I'm scared to make the commitment to Dylan's #9. Also, what drink would you suggest when listening to #9 when I'm alone in the dark? Is white wine or red better? Or should I just go all Grove-y and malt liquor it?

But survey says, it's at least on the list. So in a razor close decision, yes, it could very well push things one way or another.

Please 17ing tell me that you are not saying that the uniforms are how recruits make their decision
High profile basketball player eliminated Baylor because he didnt like the uni's and said so himself. But you and anyone making your argument is missing the entire point. Uni's dont make a difference at Bama,Fla,LSU,USC,etc... because they win national championships. To clear that up for you rebels, Im saying post segregation championships. When your not a "big dog" you must do your best to improve every aspect of your program to make it more comfortable for a 17yr old to come to your school. 3 of those small factors might be alternate uniforms, rap music at games, or not waving rebel flags while screaming the south will rise again

so then why the hell does it matter? it doesn't affect us on the field whatsoever and makes the current and future players happy. like someone else said, the people getting upset about this stuff probably haven't worn one in decades or maybe not at all.

My brother tried to join the Marines (rejected for high blood pressure) because he 1. wanted to be in the military and 2. thought they had "the most badass uniforms". I'm sure some of our Marine types around here can corroborate that this happens.
