Unless Sidney is as advertised and Bost is better than ever. But most likely I think it will take a 12-4 record at the least.

March 11-13.<div>
</div><div>But seriously, it all depends on the next two weeks. We need a quality win. Hell two would be great but that's asking a lot of Renardo Sidney. It'll be interesting to see how good we can be once Bost is back. Good enough to sweep most of the West? Probably. Good enough to beat some teams from the East on the road? We'll find out. It may take 12 or 13 SEC wins just to get back on the bubble if we can't get a good victory by the end of the month.</div><div>
</div><div>How much will the committee look at who we were starting in our first 9/14 games? I don't expect Slive to do us any favors. Our best bet is to hit our stride in March and run through Atlanta. It's not out of the question considering the productivity of the conference so far. Take the auto-bid and some momentum into the dance. Gonna be hard to be an at-large team at this pace.</div><div>
</div><div>But ******** it, we better make that tournament.</div>

We have some tough ones on the road coming up. If we win 3 or 4 of them, then we can make the NCAAs with 10 SEC Wins. If we win 1 or 2 of them, we're going to need 12+..

Recently spoke to a person, who has been a coach and involved with the basketball program for a long time, and he says that Sidney (barring injury) will probably go down as one of the top MSU basketball players, if not the best, ever to don a maroon and white uni in the Hump. If he's just 75% of what I've heard he is, we should be in for a nice season.

So to answer your question 11-5 SEC record and 1 tourney win should be a solid lock for field of 64. If Sidney is as advertised, ESPN will be all over it and that never hurts.

will sway any decisions come selection Sunday?? They've been all over his manhood region since he was in high school and if he comes out and makes people look stupid, it will have some effect on selection committee. When he and Bost return to this team, they will be a force in the SEC. Maybe Sidney is what we need to dominate and put teams away. He will match up against any big man we play the remainder of the season, so who's to say we don't beat a few teams we aren't supposed to and turn some heads. Maybe I'm being optimistic about getting our 2 BEST PLAYERS ON THE COURT, but I still believe we will be in good shape come selection Sunday. Might I add, we have one of the best 3 pt shooters in the land. Possibly add one of the best big men in the land to that team will only allow both to prosper.

Five losses in the SEC means either two things... we didn't get enough quality wins, or we lost to a few more ****** teams that are going to destroy our resume, regardless of how good Sidney is. Unless we sweep the remaining non-conference with the RSS, we can't afford more than three or four SEC losses to be considered as an at-large. Even then it's no guarantee.
