How much more time does Jans have?

I’m not a Jans hater, but in the 4 years that he’s been here, he hasn’t won a single tournament game, his portal management has been a disaster, his HS recruiting hasn’t been much better, and the program is on a downward trend.

I’m not saying that he won’t have any suitors, but I’m not sure that he’ll have people lining up at his door
You'll know if he does. He's actively trying to get out.

If he’s been actively trying for three years since the Arkansas leak, and he’s yet to land anywhere, I think that pretty much proves my point
Yeah, I liken to Mullen's exploits. He really wanted out after 2015, but didn't have anyone offer him more money, so he stuck around but was all disgruntled. Had a bad year then it finally dawned on him that he'd be stuck if he didn't win his way out. Then he ends up taking the same amount of money elsewhere (though the job itself was a step up).

I expect to be pretty good at basketball this year and also expect to have the coaching issue at the end.

He should be focused on trying to accomplish something worthwhile at MSU before worrying about a different job. He has not finished in the top half of the SEC standings in a season yet and has not made the tournament higher than an 8 seed with no NCAA tournament wins. Not much demand at any name programs for a resume like that.

Disagree. Our job isn’t thought of very well nationally and 3 tournaments in 4 years is nothing to downplay considering what we did 2010-2022

Jans had a good interview with my cousin.

Good interview, and believe it or not, I actually came away feeling a little better about this team. Jans typically plays things pretty close to the vest when it comes to his roster and especially new players, but he seems to be pretty excited about some of our new guys.

Yeah he seemed pretty confident about this group. Will be an interesting season. We are going to be picked toward the bottom of the SEC but his nonconference schedule tells you that he thinks we ought to be a solid team.
