No I am not talking about some of our rivals, the two biggest if you can call them rivalries now, stretching every rule to the max, from the coaches (two adulterers, an abortionist, and the biggest recruiting cheater ever plus benefits like Minden Hall) they employ to the "orange pride" to the thugs that get away with murder (well, attempted murder would have been the appropriate charge, instead of NOTHING) that leads them to think they can get away with rape as well.
No, turns out they aren't that stupid after all with the incompetent NCAA in charge.
I am talking about athletic departments (Or schools) that allow discrepancies like this to happen, and the University of Kentucky is famous for taking that approach for football historically:
http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/average-2015-16-cost-attendance-every-sec-school/
According to the articles Lexington is right smack dab in the middle of the most expensive schools in the nation to attend, Cincinatti less than a hundred to the north, Louisville less than a hundred to the west, and Knoxville a couple hundred to the south, Cincy the highest in the nation and the other two among the top ten and yet UK is among the cheapest school anywhere to attend. Try to figure that one out, that is if you don't believe our Rivals just take every advantage of every situation they can to gain an advantage. And the cheating and thuggery is soon forgotten (by most), just win baby.
Doesn't matter my butt, if we don't talk about it maybe they will forget, good luck, the other coaches sure won't forget.
A lot of these players came up in poor families, some of them want to do something for their families sooner than later (although Bridgewater was so close to his poor single mother that he chose a college a thousand miles away instead of across town, but, happy ending, she seemed to magically make every game) and this "spending money" is a big deal to a lot of them. Maybe not to our new QB commit, don't know, but maybe a whole lot to some of the big time players he has become close to in the camps.
No, the stupid people are the ones at UK that will let this drag down our "money cow" again just when it was showing real promise of going places (maybe a SECOND five star OL AND a possible five star QUARTERBACK as soon as NEXT year) finally, an amazing turnaround in talent. This is a CRITICAL point in our recruiting, GREAT promise if we can close the deal on this class.
And yes, I have to include Stoops and the coaches in the group of being stupid about an item this article says will cost an average of a million a year per school, didn't Brooks donate part of his salary to keep Joker on as his OC? How about Michigan's coach turning back part of his salary for assistants? Was Stoops starving before his last million dollar raise?
I know, I know they can't do that legally, but they should be able to work something out, this is something that needs to be talked about and brought up on here and elsewhere, and don't waste your time jumping on me, I could give a crap what you think of me.
