If y'all were worth a ****, and actually had a chance to make it to the post season. I'm not down playing the games this weekend at all, MSU definitely came to play. But if this series is what you consider to be "when it counts" then I'm at a loss for words.

Quite possibly the worst "comeback" in sports. When your favorite team loses to its rival, only complete dubmasses drop the old "yeah, but at least we're not the worst team in the league" bomb. We've been 4 times actually. For some reason a lot of MSU fans don't realize that though, because you didn't start paying attention to baseball until the 80s.

Heck, one of the reasons why Polk came to MSU was because he knew that we could support what he wanted to do. The lack of support was why he left Georgia Southern in the first place and went to Miami as an assistant.

Obviously, a lot of your fans weren't alive or weren't paying attention prior to the 80s. Obviously some did, but you sure have a ton that don't remember anything about what happened in college baseball prior to the 1980s.
Since Coach Bic doesn't ever compete for the SEC title anyway, maybe you can just petition the league to skip the regular season and just play the SECT and Regionals "when it counts"? Because we all know that a team competing for the division and overall lead shouldn't be bothered having to concentrate on a meaningless series against a team with a losing record, at home.
It is true that MSU fans don't perpetually live in the past the way Ole Miss fans do. You see, we don't HAVE to remember everything that happened before the 80's because some good **** has actually happened to us since then. I realize that you guys have no choice but to adore the past. We just look back there every now and then for stats. It's just not a way of life to us the way it is for Ole Miss. So, now that we/you blew your chances for a outright SEC title you guys can move on to hoping and praying you make it to Omaha. Since you love history so much though let it be your guide and don't get your hopes up.
