This being the first year, both coaches and recruits will make mistakes, even so we should still see some benefit from the new rule. This changes the risk/reward game that coaches take (Saban), where he can just put kids on medicalscholarship and kick them off the team. This also puts more risk into the waiting game that coaches and recuits play, because a spot may not be there come signing day.The hard part is the eligibility fulfillments, so programs are going to have to get more involved at earlier stages. Mullen has done quit well with signing players that actually make it to campus, so I'm not worried there.

In the long run, this will help us mostly with in state players. Hopefully we land the 3 of the 5 top recruits on our board. Looking at LSU and Bama's current commitment lists and current depth charts- I can't see why we won't. On a side note, we need to be on LSU's coattails in LA, anything they don't sign, we need to givea hard look. They can't sign them all and I think we could build a big presence in that state.

Who are our current major grade concerns? I know Nick James was a concern early on but he seems to have turned that around. Is there anyone else we should be concerned about. With about 5 slots left, a few major grade concerns could give us 6 to 8 slots to fill and could really make for an interesting signing day.

This new 25 limit I think will really change things for signing day and we may be able to pick up a few decent guys very late in the process.
