How tied are you to the threaded view we use now?...

The access issues as of late have got me again thinking about leaving. If we leave, does SixPack become like every other board out there with a topic centered view or does the content and the ability to say what you want keep you coming back? Discuss.

As long as threads get here, topic view would get really annoying. Tigerdroppings is awful with the long *** threads.

It's easy to click on just one part of a thread. I agree about the magician (or lack thereof lately) but damn, I hate topic view.

I can't easily follow the tangents and who is replying to whom in the topic view. Threaded is much better, especially if you can hover and get a preview of the text.

Have been accessing the board lately on my iPod and it drives me crazy not knowing who is replying to whom. I actually look forward to getting on the laptop.

...but it would be awesome if the posts were organized as they are on the front page when you click on a particular topic. It's frustrating to have to go back to the main page to see who's replying to who.

I hate the topic-view message boards. I would probably read and post a lot less... as if it really matters.

What access issues are you referring to? I haven't been on as much as have been in the recent past, but I haven't noticed any problems.

I like the way Tigerdropings has it with topic view. The page just looks cleaner. And for y'all who say you can't see who the reply is to, it says it at the very top of each post on there. One of the main things I hate about Yuku is how freaking slow it is.

Topic view sucks for the most part; however, I do like that Tigerdroppings shows to whom a person is replying.

I am clearly not a frequent poster, but have been an avid reader of this board since its inception. I have no preference on the view type. I just hope to have it on a better portal than yuku. The access and reliability (of this site) has been crappy here lately.

but I prefer a site that runs correctly more.<div>

Now I've grown to like it.

But more importantly than that is how long these yuku issues are going to last? Not a fan of pages loading or posts going through only 40% of the time.

I like the current layout, but will trade it to get rid of the issues I've had trying to read the board.

By removing the ability to respond to specific posts, you're almost forced to provide a thoughtful and coherent response to fit into the natural progression of the topic. This could eliminate flames, cripple fights, and identical responses. If each user would read the entire thread, they could then decide if their post adds any value or fits into the flow of discussion.

This could bring about a positive change to the overall content of the board.

Of course, while I'm wanting for the virtually impossible, I'd really like to win the lottery.

Use the quote feature and it's clear who is responding to whom.

Maybe there would be less need for all the posting tutorials too.

I ultimately don't care either way, I post and read on both types of boards. I would hope the biggest thing everyone wants is a board that loads faster than this one.
It's like 1999 loading speed in 2011.
