They seemed to have practiced at some point with the full band - it wasn't a train wreck.

and I don't care who disagrees with me. This is no knock on Nash Street b/c I have heard them before and enjoyed their music. But the combination of them and the FMB was absolutely horrible. It was off beat and sounded terrible. We never ever ever ever ever ever need to do anything like that aGAIN.

Nothing wrong with that at all. You'll find that a lot of people agree with you.

I thought it was pretty bad. Mainly because it was with the FMB, and like you said they were just totally off from each other.

If you were on the back of the band, or on the side under the old replay board, you probably couldnt hear the band. But with the direction that the speakers are pointed out of the jumbotron, it bounces off the two lower levels then reverberates around the stadium. Nobody screwed up. It was just the way the sound projects from the jumbotron, coupled with the delay that the people behind the band had. The idea was great, but with the difference in delay between the band and the sound from Nash Street coming out of the jumbotron, it just didnt work well. Im in the band, and the reverb from the jumbotron hit us on the field about 2 seconds after what the band was doing. So if was that bad for us on the field, you can imagine how bad the reverb was for alot of other people.

The only person that screwed up was the one that thought it was a good idea to try to play live country/bluegrass in conjunction with the entire school band. They never had a chance.

Well, I take that back. The little cowgirl dance behind the band was <17>ing ridiculous too.

Taylor Hicks and the Auburn band. And when I say worked better, better in the sense that the smaller square peg went into the round hole a little bit better than the larger square peg.

But yes, live bands and college bands = doesn't work.

I think they put together their part of the halftime show to be the 180 degree opposite of what the sonic boom did, which I don't really blame them for. But I thought the overall performance was bad and I didn't enjoy it at all.

I would have rather partied with Nash Street after the game in the junction. sure showed the differance in musical tastes from Starville to West Jackson!

I would much rather party with the Sonic Boom than these clowns (their music is decent, but they look like toolsheds)

the little blond is ugly?

And she can tear up a mandolin.

Nash Street in the Junction would have been cool. The Sonic boom in the junction? We would have to install stripper poles. Not that I am opposed to that, mind you.

If you think these chicks are ugly. I thought it was good and Nash Street is a great band. The delay between the source and the speakers could be to blame for the slight off beat sound. Its hard to play with a band like that. The maroon band needed to just not show up for this game and everything would have been better.

But those guys look like they'd fit in perfectly with Rascal Flatts. Hint to the bass player of Nash Street: Your upright bass isn't a stripper pole. I know you were just putting on a show, but you looked like a huge douche.

douchebags.

And maybe JSU would be more appropriate with stripper poles. That's exactly why I'd rather hang out with them than the two gel haired rascal flatts wannabes. Again, I said their music isn't awful. That doesn't make them people I'd hang out with though.

about those young gals in nash street can spell ***** much less get any. but agree putting live band sound through jumbo tron in conjuntion with fmb can't work .
and i was'nt there, had the band played in the junction after the game. That would have been cool . Things like that will really bring people just to party in the junction. Creating a fun kickass gameday experience creates more excitement and draws future bulldogs and better looking women. come on ninja
